Ford has given the American muscle car scene a recent lease of life with the imminent release of the unique 2011 Mustang V8 cars.

The heart of the unusual model Ford Mustang unbiased has to be the V8 engine. It is a return to the 5.0-liter capacity that is so engaging.

It is a 5.0-liter quad cam all alloy V8 that can rev to 7000rpm (previous engine was 6500rpm) . The 2011 Mustang GT will be in an suitable station to challenge those in the Chevrolet camp, such as the Camaro or the Dodge Challenger. They of course must persist with the Chevrolet 6 litre all alloy OHV (composed OHV) .

Ford Focus Wagon (2012)

With the debut of the 2012 Focus Wagon at the Geneva Motor Show, Ford has reached the halfway point in the roll-out of its new C-segment platform. The new station wagon is number five and we expect it to be joined by a three-door hatch and coupe-convertible in the coming months. Ford also revealed that a small SUV will join the C-segment lineup soon.

While the new wagon will likely be a popular configuration on the continent, there are currently no plans to make the estate available in North America. Frank Davis, executive director of North American product programs at Ford, told Autoblog that when a wagon was last offered as part of the U.S. Focus lineup, the market share never got over 14 percent and only hit four percent in the final year of availability.

Ford Escape Hybrid (2010)

Ford Escape Hybrid (2010)

When the Ford Escape was first launched back in 2001, rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame sport utility vehicles ruled the roost. So the Escape, which rides on a unibody front-wheel-drive platform, was designed to closely resemble the traditional two-box SUV. Ford designers did find a way to give the Escape some manner of style, with rounded lines and some relatively tasteful lower body cladding, but the Escape has never been a head-turner.

The current Escape doesn’t look all that different from the very first model, save for being slightly bigger and wearing edgier sheetmetal. The front grille was given a very healthy dose of chrome that, quite frankly, is a bit over the top for our tastes, though we do like the much cleaner aesthetic of the Escape’s hind quarters and the new-look taillights bring some extra class to the small crossover equation. The only visual cues that our Steel Blue Metallic tester is of the hybrid variety is a small badge above the rear bumper and a pair of badges on the front doors and front quarter panel. Not exactly Toyota Prius levels of hybrid awareness, which is exactly the point.

Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI:PK) will expand the 2011 Shelby GT350 program to offer a normally aspirated version aimed at competition in Sports Car Club of America events and allow the street car to be ordered with an automatic transmission. The GT350 will be offered in both normally aspirated and supercharged versions as part of a post-title program through select dealers across the United States.

The normally aspirated version of the GT350 was driven by consumer demand. SCCA racing rules typically preclude a post-title added supercharger and the stresses of a forced induction are typically too much for an automatic transmission in a high performance car.

In fact, Fiesta will offer North American buyers a stylish new choice of 15 class-exclusive features and projected highway fuel economy of up to 40 mpg, besting the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris and Corolla.

“Customers are savvy. They want expressive cars that deliver not just great fuel economy, but also high quality, new technologies and a fun driving experience,” said Mark Fields, Ford president of The Americas. “We plan to answer the call with Fiesta – an all-new vehicle in North America we hope will set a new standard for small cars.”
Fiesta is the next milestone under the ONE Ford plan to design and develop vehicles that meet the differing needs, wants and expectations of customers around the world. Nearly 700,000 Fiestas have been sold to customers in Europe and Asia, since launch.
